Each 100gm Choornam contains:

| Seeragam | Cuminum ciminum | Frt. | 12.5 gm |
| Karunjeerakam | Nigella sativa | Sd. | 12.5 gm |
| Indhuppu | Rock Salt | 12.5 gm | |
| Omam | Carum capticum | Frt. | 12.5 gm |
| Perungayam | Ferula foetida | Exd. | 12.5 gm |
Dosage: 1 – 2 gm twice daily with buttermilk or warm water. Or 3 gm can be mixed with rice and taken before routine meal.
Adjunct: Buttermilk or Warm water.
Indications: Ashta Choornam is an ideal combination of herbs to relieve flatulence and indigestion abruptly.
It helps to ease vatha and relieves pain.
It promotes digestion. Ferula foetida acts as a gastric stimulant in gastrointestinal atony with flatulence.
It allays gastric irritation and acts as an antispasmodic and relieves spasmodic pain.
